✨ Naturalness Tips /

❌ Too Formal (avoid this)

"My preferred meteorological condition is precipitation. My favorite location is the educational bookstore."

✅ Natural and Simple (use this)

"I love rainy weather and the local bookstore. They are very quiet."

📏 How to Extend a Short Answer /

  • Short (stops conversation): "I like sun, parks, and morning."
  • Longer and better: "I like sunny weather. My favorite place is the park in the morning because I can walk and see the green trees. It makes me feel fresh!"

⛔ What to Avoid /

Mistake 1 — Forgetting "the" before places / 場所の前の "the" を忘れる
❌ Bad: My favorite place is park.
✅ Good: My favorite place is the park.
We usually say "the park" or "the beach" when we talk about general relaxing places.
Mistake 2 — Mixing up "time" and "time of day" / 時間と時間帯を混ぜてしまう
❌ Bad: My favorite time of day is 3:00 PM.
✅ Good: My favorite time of day is afternoon.
"3:00 PM" is a specific time. "Time of day" means big parts like morning, afternoon, or night.
Mistake 3 — Saying "because" without a full reason / because の後ろを単語だけにする
❌ Bad: I like them because relaxing.
✅ Good: I like them because they are relaxing.
After "because," you always need a small sentence with a subject and a verb (they are / it is). becauseの後ろには、必ず「they are」や「it is」などの小さな文を続けます。
Mistake 4 — Listing too many places at once /
❌ Bad: My favorite places are the park, the beach, the library, and cafés.
✅ Good: My favorite place is the park.
Pick just one main place. It keeps your story simple and helps the listener see a clear image.
